So here are some signs to tell you if estrogen dominance is a likely issue for you.
The first is the appearance of what is referred to as cherry angiomas.
Cherry angiomas on the trunk of the body would be a risk factor for estrogen dominance but this could also be a sign of liver congestion. Interestingly enough, the liver also plays a role in estrogen hormone conversion so there is a deep tie to hormones and cherry angiomas across the board. The more cherry angiomas that are present, this higher your risk factors. When cherry angiomas are present on any of our clients, we always recommend hormone testing to confirm if this is more likely an estrogen dominance issue or liver congestion. The second sign is the appearance of red dots on the body of you tongue. Red spots on the top of the body of the tongue is another potential sign of estrogen dominance and overall hormone imbalance. This is a risk factor for anyone over the age of 18. The red spots are not a risk factor for children and teenagers. Upon noticing the red spots on the tongue of our clients we would recommend hormone testing to review the possibility of estrogen dominance or overall adrenal (stress) hormone imbalance. The last sign would be white flecks on your nails. The white flecks on your nails can also be a sign of mineral deficiencies but if you have the angiomas, red dots on your tongue and the white flecks on your nails, this trilogy would show a high likelihood of estrogen dominance and testing is recommended. Remember that estrogen dominance is a risk factor for breast cancer for women and prostrate and/or breast cancer for men. The good news is that by paying attention to these body signs, proper testing and assisting the body in reducing estrogen, you have the power to significantly reduce or potentially eliminate these risk factors.
